The Center for Disease Genomics (CDG)
The SAGENOME Research Foundation promotes the Center for Disease Genomics (CDG), an independent academic and research facility that serves as a multi-institutional hub for the application of genomic sciences to better health and the environment.
The Center for Disease Genomics (CDG) leads the research and development division for SAGENOME. Leveraging the strengths of SAGENOME in whole-genome sequencing and genomic analysis, the mission of the Center for Disease Genomics is the advancement of genomic science and its application to drive novel biomedical discoveries.
CDG’s areas of focus include the development of computational and experimental genomic methods and disease-focused research to better understand the genetic basis of cancer, cardiovascular disease, neurodegenerative disease, and neuropsychiatric disease.
CDG will also do pioneering research into the application of genomics in Ayurveda and traditional medicine-based therapeutics. CDG will extend its expertise into Animal Genomics, Plant Genomics, and Sustainable Agriculture
